Working Confidently with Gender and Sexuality

Working Confidently with Gender & Sexuality aims to raise and change awareness for professionals working with young people around gender and sexuality. This training encourages professionals to be curious, providing tools and techniques to engage confidently in conversations whilst exploring their own unconscious biases and its influence. This training is developed by Freedom, OTR’s LGBTQ+ youth service. Freedom celebrated its 25th year of existence in 2020 and is the longest-running LGBTQ+ youth group in the UK.

By the end of it participants will:

  • Feel confident and empowered to engage in conversation around Gender and Sexuality
  • Understand better their own unconscious bias and its influence on their practise
  • Understand their own and others challenges in working with Gender and Sexuality
  • Have a tailored map of support in order to promote best practise

Our training is particularly well placed for individuals and teams who work directly with young people.

Dates, times and location: 0.5 x online: 30th March. 9.30am - 1.30pm
